Thanks, Dave. I did look at it. I showed it to Vince and I mentioned that we really have no room left to put a 24" saw in the saw shop and he looked at me and said, "For a 24" saw I'd be willing to move the table with the tumblers out of there."

I don't think you will find a better deal. It looks like a Frantom. My Frantom 24" is the workhorse in my shop and if you two can pull it off ......... Just sayin'

Saw that a couple days ago. If I had a truck I'd drive the 650 miles in a heartbeat for that.

I'm curious why its still available or suspect that it isn't. Yes 750 is a lot of money, but 24" or whatever size it is constitutes a lot of saw. It wouldn't last long here in NM and AZ has more rockhounds than we do.

Yeah, I wondered if it's leaky or needs parts myself. Could be an estate item but we didn't call to find out. I can use the drop saw to trim rough down to size for our 18", so we really don't need a 24".
Who made this saw, anyway? Think I've read a post mentioning a sloped bottom, but can't remember.

I had not noticed the sloping bottom. Not sure about manufacturer. Maybe Tony could clue us in.

The HP 24 I have on CL locally is $2000 and I usually see them go for more around here. hummingbirdstones2 it looks like a FranTom that someone modified the sump on to take less oil. The hose on the side might be for a recirculation system. If I was closer it would already be in my garage.

Yeah, I liked the recirc pump. As soon as Robin told me about it I was making my list of why I should buy it. In the end we just don't handle enough rough large enough to justify adding a 24".

I went and picked it up, the old guy said it used to be a Highland Park but that it was modified to use a sump pump, she is heavy heavy heavy. I have her on the trailer to take home and play with.
