Threw some of the Dallasite from bcrockhound in the tumbler. Here is a peek at a few of them. They are now in 600 SIC. The one on the left is one of my favs.

Looks like they're coming along just fine. I like the left one, too.

I also got some from Stewart, great looking stuff. We just got a vibe tumbler and sliced up a few rocks just to learn about and get a feel for how the tumbler works and the mini slabs were shaping up very nice. Can't wait to do a proper batch. Best of luck!

They look good, I finished a few slices from Stewart's batch. If you have some with a lot of Quartz, give it a try, came out nice.

I also got some tumbling material from bcrockhound and have just finished the first batch through polish. It took a beautiful shine but ended up being somewhat chippy. The initial roughing stages shaped well and seemed to have a good surface quality. Roughing was done in a rotary and then they were moved to a UV-3 to finish the surface prep and to polish. I’m not sure when the chipping occurred since once I’ve moved stones to the vibe I’ve rarely seen any worsening of the surface so I haven’t really looked at them that closely. Given the condition of the chips/pits compared to the polished surface I’d guess the degradation occurred either during the polish or perhaps the burnishing. Got a second batch in the vibe in 500 AO so I’ll pay much closer attention as I clean them to see if I can pin down when the chipping is occurring. I will say that chipped or not these stones polish beautifully and are absolutely stunningly!
