So the other night my son checked his barrel in the qt66. The next morning I noticed that he hadn't plugged it in so I plugged it in and didn't think anything about it. Then last night I checked my barrel and there was basically no water, just a big ball of rocks stuck together. This couldn't have happened just from sitting for a few hours, could it? Here's what it looked like...

I'm sure you have heard about never pouring the slurry down the drain because it creates a massive concrete like glob that will cost you a big plumbing bill to fix. Well you are now seeing the reason why by looking at your barrel.
I think the best thing to do is take the rocks and media out, clean up everything up real good and start again. You might get away with adding of water, stirring with a stick, and softening up the mess so it starts to retumble but I wouldn't. I think it would be easier and faster just to drop back and punt. Good luck.

Good luck. I have heard of that, thanks. Well, what I did was check each rock to see if it was ready to move on and added water. I kind of moved stuff around with my hand, hopefully that counts as stirring... Maybe I'd better at least open it tonight and see what it looks like. Thanks for your input!
