Just one photo for now. Snow/wind started Saturday night. Snow ended Sunday PM, but winds picked up to 60 MPH. Many roads in the State were either closed or listed as Do Not Travel. Several crashes involving 20+ vehicles. The worst accident that I know of was in the East Central portion. 100+ vehicles. Cars on top of cars and partially under semis. 1 fatality, 70 injuries. One person died and 71 people were hurt in a massive pileup during whiteout conditions on Interstate 41 in Neenah, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office confirms 131 vehicles were involved in the chain reaction crash. 66 people were treated and released, while 5 have been further admitted for their injuries. Other drivers and passengers were safely removed from their stranded vehicles. They were taken to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Neenah for a warming shelter. The American Red Cross provided blankets, food and beverages for people impacted by the crash. Nearly 500 vehicles were stopped behind the crash and were re-routed. Crews spent the day cleaning up the mess and almost all vehicles have been removed. It has also been reported that seven hundred and seventy two 911 calls were placed regarding the incident. At this time, police are still assessing when the best time would be to re-open the highway. "Please continue to avoid the area as the highway remains closed," the Sheriff's Office posted on Facebook. Roads by me are still listed as Do Not Travel. After I took this photo, the tree on the left became more snow covered and snapped. The small one on the right broke in half earlier in the day.

Stay safe and warm, Beth fernwood. Unfortunately, people just don't heed the warnings. A tree in my sister's yard was uprooted by the wind yesterday. Luckily, it didn't hit any structures (outside Chicago).
We're slowly melting (finally) from the 20" of snow we got Thursday and Friday. It's still pretty cold (19) this morning, but nothing like what you guys are getting.

Yikes. 60+ winds probably means some pretty big drifts. Stay warm and safe!

We haven't had your amounts, and actually it has been a dry winter … until last night. I awoke to this: 2+ feet. It looks like I'm finally going to have to finish putting together the snow blower I bought 3 years ago after our last 100-year storm. Eventually, this is going to head east - hopefully not to add to your Wisconsin totals!

1 degree here, 19 below wind chill. I'd still take this over two feet of snow!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!! It's about 22 degrees here, winds about 30mph, gusting considerably higher with occasional strong squalls blowing through with heavy snow and 50 mph+ winds. Fortunately little accumulation. Going to be cold tonight.

I am safe. Not warm. House temps in the 40's. All farm animals are safe, have water and are fed.
I really feel for those who are not used to -40 wind chills, 50 mph winds, snow over 1' at a time and lots of ice.
Thank you everyone for your concern for those in WI, MN and MI. IN has also been hot hard by this.

Very sorry to hear about those accidents! My wife is from Wausau, WI and yesterday one of her sisters who still lives near there sent her a photo of 6' snow drifts.
Here in the Piedmont area of NC we've only had one snow this winter but have had ridiculously excessive rain ever since August. Our yard, which is on high ground, is a marsh right now. It's actually difficult to walk on without slipping or sinking an inch or two into the mud. Our septic lines are so waterlogged that we haven't been able to use our clothes washing machine since November, and have had to limit showers, toilet flushing, and dish washing since even before then. I hope things dry out soon before the weather turns warm or this is going to be on heck of a mold and mildew season!

Today there is only a light breeze here, but my how the winds have blown the past few days! Cold, too. Thankfully, less than 1/2 snowfall in my area with the wind. Mt. Mansfield (VT) received 132 mph winds. Mt. Washington (NH) recorded winds of 171 mph, a record for the date (though nowhere near the all-time record, which is well over 200 mph.) I don't think the winds were over 55 mph here.
