Hi all Just got some Unikite I won on Ebay for $1.75 plus this lucious extra slab of striped jasper thrown in. Kiesha! is the Sh!@ Good golly, when I have time to set up in the basement, this will be fun! Does anyone know about Unikite? This is a slab I'm gonna cut and tumble. What's it best to put with? Thanks! cookie

cookie i did a batch of unakite awhile back and though i've seen it say it has a hardness of 6-7 mine was definitely on the upper end of that and took a long while to shape but once that was accomplished it was smooth sailing and polished beautifully with cerium. since you have a vibe yours should move alot quicker than mine did.

I've never done any unikite - have a couple of pounds of it, just haven't ever gotten it cut to tumble. One of these days!
I love that jasper!
I see necklaces!

BTW, what kind of tumbler did you get or will get you to replace your dead TV5?

YaY Cookie, those are gorgeous. Haven't you got that saw going yet? I'm anxious to know how you like it. That jasper is beautiful, will make some really pretty stuff.
