The first few are Syenites with mineral Sodalite that fluoresces bright orange under long wave uv light aka "Yooperlites". I collected these in south eastern WI along the Lake Michigan shoreline. This is Franklinite with fluorescent green Willemite, got from a friend in NJ.

Nice pics, fun to see!
Some calcites will phosphoresce briefly if exposed to a strong light (like a black light.) I discovered this with some Ruck's Pit calcite (this is the yellow calcite you may have seen growing out of fossilized clam shells) and spent the next half hour turning the flashlight on and off to watch it glow.
I do have some fluorescent sodalite out of Mt. Ste. Hilare in Quebec. Fluoresces bright orange-pink.

Very nice photography.......If I may, what type of long wave UV did you use (watts and bulb size) and how close to the subject was the camera set-up....I realize a little cropping may have been involved.
Thanks..!

Thanks..! Thx, I used a convoy2 365nm filtered long wave flashlight. I used a sigma 150mm macro lens that was probably around 15" away from the subjects.
