This is my first time posting photos, so hopefully this works and turns out well. I collected lots of Mississippi agates from some gravel driveways. Here are a few of the best specimens. Lots of fine iris banding with brown, beige, cream, red, and pink colors. Also have some mushroom cap specimens too. This is just a sample of what we collected. We are trying to decide whether to tumble some or leave natural as is. Do these types of agates tumble well, as I have never tumbled Mississippi agates before and I am a newbie to tumbling? photos.app.goo.gl/YSVhd4zCtJCCE5248Sulkycrown

Nice agates. Looks like a lot of them would be great for tumbling.

They are a good shape and size for tumbling, plus the banding makes them good candidates. I would certainly give them a try. Be sure to post pics for us if you do.

I am a bit nervous about tumbling them, so I plan to take just a few of the different shaped agates, tumble them, and see what happens. I will definitely post the pictures and show the results of before and after. I also have quite a few that don’t have as much banding that I am going to throw in and see what results.
