Hi all. It's taken just about a month(I took them out of polish on 1/7) to finish the batch started on 12/9 and I'm fairly pleased with the results. The Batch: Mexican Crazy Lace Agate, Flint from Texas courtesy of Llana, Green Adventurine, some Brazillian agate, and some other misc stones. Before tumbling Finished batch some close ups The last pic was taken with a little bit of sun peeking thru the clouds. It's a piece of translucent flint. The lighting isn't the best, but it's been rainy around here so I had to use indoor lighting. Hope you like them and thanks for checking them out. Ed

OOOH, two of my favorite things, flint and agate! Great job. Ed. And I can see now that cutting is the answer fro quartz and the like that tends to fracture. Sending my broken one back tommorrow, when I get It back I'm gonna do That ;D

Ed, Great job on polishing and excellent pics! Are the green rocks the one I gave you? If so, I think the green rocks are amazonite, not green adventurine.
I am starting to take a real liking to the flint. I am thinking that some of the mozarkite that I have been tumbling is a type of flint. The swirling colors are just fantastic.

Nice....
I LOVE that piece of agate that's half red and half white pictured next to the quarter. Just beautiful.
Did you buy the stuff, or pick it up on your own?
Keep up the good work.

Great Job Stoner, and very nice pre-shaping too! That really paid off!! Time sure plays a big part. Not a good hobby for a man with very little of it. Like my father in law who throws raw copper chunks in 60/90 for a week, and then goes "There...Done" Ha Ha Ha, but true!

Ed, beautiful batch of rocks. Thank you for posting them.
Cal, I'm curious about your mozarkite. It's the MO state rock and I believe I've picked up some locally, but I'm not sure. Where did you get yours? I'd love to see some photos.

Wow, what a fun assortment. I just can't seems to pick a favorite, so many nice ones. Funny I just got done ordering some Mex Lace about 15 minutes ago. I have 5 gallon pails, and coffee cans full of rocks at various stages and I guess that just isn't enough. Wow, I sure do love the look when the rocks are cut. Someday, I need a saw for slabbing rocks. But I think my husband would throw a fit if I got another saw in addition to all the different wood saws I have. Maybe I can slip it by him.
