These were very sharp when they arrived in the Summer. Only 2 showed a tiny bit of flash. I wanted to shape them a little to see if more flash would surface, before I attacked them with the Dremel. Did not want to put them in 60/80 grit, as I figured that would destroy them. The first part of March I put them in a mix of new, 3/4" triangle ceramic media, glass beads the size of sugar and some kitty litter. Left them in that for 6 days. Then put them in a mix of the ceramics, polished pea gravel and kitty litter for 12 days. I was very pleased to see that all of the sharp edges are gone. A lot more flash than when I started. Did not know what to expect. The largest is about 2" long. These were in a 1 lb. rotary barrel. They are now in 120/220. Will see how they look Sunday. The goal is not to tumble to a perfect smoothness or shine. Just to bring out the flash and soften the edges a little (for now).

I like 'em! Especially the one with the yellowish/reddish color. Very cool.

I was surprised at the varying colors.

Angle makes all the difference. Just a few degrees and the flash goes in another direction than to your eyes.
With star stones I used to put a drop of glycerine on a surface to orient for proper cabbing.

Good luck, such a beautiful material. I would be cautious as well. Are these destined to be dremel cabs?
