Nice mix. If your Brazilian agate is anything like mine, in a month you will be wondering whether this stuff is made out of diamond or what?, and will it ever get past rough grind?

This is a really nice assortment of rocks and I do love the bright colors....,but,..... I must admit that I am color blind and the Topaz looks like glass pieces or quartz to me. This is just me and I am sure they will look awesome when finished. Please keep updating this through the stages. I love the transision from rough to polish. Harry

There's going to be some beautiful stones in there. I'm with Tami, can't wait to see them finished. I still haven't started taking the before pics, be interesting to see how much they lose in mass in the transition to polished. Thanks!!

Stoner-
Cool. I like the strainer....nice idea.
So did you put that entire load in or did you hold some back? Can't wait to see some follow ups.
Later, Gaeter

Hey all. The Topaz is clear, like glass, and I'm hoping that when it's done it will look like something more than polished glass. I thought I was buying blue topaz but as it turned out, only the stones pictured in the web site were blue. Oh well, I'm sure they'll turn out fine. They are 8 on the mohs scale so it's gonna be a while before they're done. Probably have to start another batch of something that won't take so long. Gaeter, I made the screen out of landscaping material and some brass colored rings I bought a Micheals Craft store a long time ago and used copper wire to secure the material to the rings. I've got 3 of them, different sizes, and they work really nice. And yes, all the rocks in the pic went into the tumbler this time. Ed

By the looks of your rough you're going to have one pretty load when they're finished ! The mixture of different size rocks you have will aid the tumbling action to a Tee !! Thanks,,,,,,,,,, Tom
