I'm having some anxiety issues waiting for these next loads ...
trying to do KD's 2 weeks in AO ;D so I thought I'd bother
you with some previews of some stones I just put into 500.
These are all just more of my local gravel pit diggings but
lots of possibilities. I wish I knew "what" they are.
Left: Lake Superior Agate, Right: ? It seems to be some
kind of agate material, very hard. Interesting patterns in it.
These are a couple of rocks I picked up on the shore
of Lake Superior. No idea, but I like the greens. The one
on the reminds me of a leopard frog. The darker spots
are almost like small crystals.
Left: Something else that seems to be like an agate/quartz mix.
Pic doesn't do it justice, it's really pretty. Right: Jasper/quartz mix.
Don't know what the dark stuff is, not hematite though it seems
like it's going to take a shine. I hope so, I did a lot of shaping on
this one.
Left: I have quite a bit of this stuff, when it breaks it's almost
like glass. It's like tiny little pieces of jasper and hematite held
together in some kind of matrix. Right: Lake Superior Agate
Left: ? Agate/quartz mix ? Right. More of the jasper - hematite,
this one shows the hematite pieces more.
Left: A nice piece of smokey quartz. Right: More of the green
rock. There's three different shades of green in blended in this
rock, it's just neat.
Left: I wish this one would have been clearer. The depth is really
incredible. Pieces of red jasper, held together in clear to white
agate. Right: ?? Just a neat rock, grays and whites with is few
flecks of red.
Left: Another green rock. Mixture of green ?, quartz and agate or
something very hard like agate. Right: Quartz, it's almost orange
with chunks of clear quartz mixed in.
Left: Another nice piece of my green rock. Right: Red banded
jasper, don't know what the dark is, not hematite though.
Thanks for looking, if anyone has any ideas as to what
this stuff is, I appreciate your ideas and thoughts.

These have a long way to go yet since I just put them into the 500 so maybe I'll add a week in 1000 too.
