KY sure grows some nice rocks, bright colors and the patterns are great.

Good looking stuff Randy Garage Rocker. I know you'll make good use of the material.

I like. Those are pretty. Thanks for sharing- you're right- we don't see much of that on board.

Pretty agates! I am not normally a "yellow" person, but I do like it in the KY agates with the grey for some reason.

Beautiful pieces Randy! They don't get much play on the board because us mere mortals rarely encounter it. This reminds me of a story - I don't harbor many regrets in general but one of them might be from three years ago at the PowWow in Quartzsite there was a dealer who had bought an enormous 'barn find' collection of nothing but KY agates and was selling it off mostly by the pound. I don't remember what his price/lb was but it was pretty expensive at the time. Imagine a large outdoor fleamarket corner space with maybe eight full length folding tables completely covered with nothing but KY agate. The problem was I found him after spending my way through the whole show and did not have much money left to get anything more than a few slabs. So... my regret is being poor

Nice little slabettes. I've never seen any of this material in-person, but it's been on my wish list for a while. Thanks for sharing.
I think #2 is my favorite.

It is extremely difficult to find a good place to look for it, then you have to know what to look for when you get there. I don't have the time, so I rely on locals who do to get my material.

They want a bunch of money for polished agate halves at these shows. I'm talking anywhere from $400-$1500 for most. There were some small, less than impressive agates to be had in the rough from a couple vendors, but nothing I had to have. The guy I took your brother to see charges 5X the amount at shows, compared to when I go see him at his place.

Those are fun!
I can't imagine paying $1500 for a geode half of any kind. Kentucky agate is badass, but I need a new washer dryer.... 😉
