This is a few shots of a couple of stones that finished from my last trip out rock hounding. The Gray Speckled Agate came from Bagdad Arizona , and I wasn't sure it would polish up well since it seemed a bit porous. I would have just chucked it for lack od color or pattern, but since there were only a few pieces I let them graduate with the reat of the agates. So I shot them with a couple of white Mexican Lace Agates to fill the frame. Of course some green quartz, and then a little piece the reminded me of the Loch Ness monster, or Phoenix rising. That one is about the size of a nickle. The rest was all agates, Sodalite, and Tiger eye that I have posted before, so I didn't think I needed to post them again. Thanks- Thanks for looking. I should have some of that Burro Creek Agate polished in about 4 more weeks at this rate.

Wow Banjo, those are FANTASTIC! Great job!!
I like that speckled agate, haven't seen that before. And the shine on the green quartz in unbelievable, looks like they are wrapped in a liquid acrylic or something!
Thanks for the pics!

Yeah Jimmy, I don't know where that came from, but it shows up every so often in that Arizona Agate I collected at Bagdad. Like I said, I didn't even think it would polish, so I was very surprised at the results here. It is a strange bird indeed.

Beautiful batch, Banjo! Love the speckled agate and needless to say, the green adventurine. The last piece is really neat - would make a cool necklace.

The rocks in the photos that are polished up all pretty came from the desert of Arizona. I have about 50 pounds of it sitting on my porch, which I am selling some of, at a buck a pound, plus shipping. I am going out this weekend (hope, hope) and get some more good agate. I love the desert this time of year!

Wow! They are really spectacular, and now I know I have some gray speckled agate! I too worry about the polish because it seems porous. My results are okay but yours are better. I have picked these up mostly in the west -- Wyoming in several places, mainly. Thanks!
