Meteorology (or weather mis-forecasting) is another mystical science that came out of the study of meteors

Weather mis-forecasting? Ha! I call the TV news meteorologists "weather guessers!" All that schooling (maybe?) and making the big bucks and getting their faces on TV, and my guess is as good as theirs. I hate it when they "import" the "talent" from somewhere else, instead of employing a local. Forty (or 50 or 60 year inhabitants of San Diego) have a much better clue about the "micro-climates" (their over-used word) here in So Cal.

Them Me We had a local meteorologist who worked at channel 4. He came up with a guarantee that his temperature forecast would be within 4 degrees (either way), a NINE DEGREE SWING! You could enter the pool of contestants to have your name drawn when he was incorrect. They had to stop the promotion because the station was losing too much money! Funny thing is he was a real pr..k and always talked trash about the other local meteorologists. Al

I love it when I’m out in the rain, and I hear them say that there is “a chance of rain.”
