I've been doing some high-grading and was just ready to heft this piece out to the junk pile. I had earlier cut a big piece from the same area that was junk, so I thought this one would be the same. But, just in case, I cut a heel piece to double check. This one is a keeper: Heel piece sitting in a bucket of sawdust. Some sawdust still clinging to the rock. This piece weighs about 10 pounds. Here's the rest of it, still in the saw. I estimate this piece to be about 25 to 30 pounds. Earlier cut "leaverites" in the junk pile - too many pits. This weighed about 60 pounds. Thanks for looking!

Nice discovery. The inside sure looks different than the surface.

Thanks MsAli, @rocks2dust, orrum @ fernwood. This one will most likely get polished for a shelf specimen. The blue chalcedony is more "blue-ish" than most Ellensburg blues that I have. The floating white orbs are something I haven't seen before. I plan to cut some off the other end of the piece that's still in the saw vise today to see if the color holds all the way through.

Liking the color! I have a junk pile right next to my saw, I usually go through it once in awhile and pick out rocks that get a second chance... Sometimes cutting it at a different angle makes a world of difference... Hahaha
