I think about an inch or so at it's thickest in the middle.
Going to try to get at least three decent cuts out of it- but it may fracture.
I'm guessing it's jasper?
Either way if you look close it has some really cool features.

So I cut one of the ends off.
What the heck, right, there's always more rocks.
Here's the end and the "progress" that I made at lunch with the dremel. It still has a curved bottom that I need to fix and the side to the left on the cut picture was about twice as thick as the right side so I'm dealing with those two things.
The biggest worry I have with it is the soft spots right smack dab in the middle...

If this one works I'll jump in and cut some more.

Thanks, I think you're right. I cut that first piece off of that side and hopefully will get to work a bit more on it at noon.
