Some of these I posted already, but the pictures ere kinda crappy. Besides they're all in one folder and I'm too lazy to separate them. I had 2 more, one fairfield turned out to be cracked and one flew off the dop on the 100k and I never could never find it! It'll show up one day.
Hopefully, the video will post. It is my favorite pietersite to date. Even the video does it no justice. Just one of the excellent slabs I have gotten from rxscram - who is having a sale in his shop, by the way.
So, here we go- my cab novel
Unknown sourced agate
Nice big flashy seraphinite
WY grape lepidolite courtesy of Robin hummingbirdstones who graciously sent me some after I drooled all over hers. Color is a little darker in person and so sparkly.
dendritic limestone- always popular. (I see I need to clean off some wax.)
A scap of OJ- better in person. I freeformed a real nasty piece and noticed afterwards that the back is better. Oh well. I love OJ, so it's not a waste to me.
another scrap of OJ. I couldn't resist the color. This was a nasty piece, too. Some vivid red orbs were wasted in the grind.
Another scrap. This has some druzy. Not really happy with it. Kinda ugly. But... it's OJ.
Pilbara- a better pic of the one I already posted.
Stunning big chrysoprase. Has a few faint veils but the slab had some facetable areas.
scrap of crazy lace
plasma agate- I really love this one. I have had such problems with this stuff coming apart that I took a hammer to this before I freeformed it.
a gorgeous OJ
a still pic of the pietersite
a little scrap of crazy lace
the tiffany I posted before
the same unknown agate as the one above
Morgan Hill - I got a nice slab on ebay for cheap with one end broke off, this is a freeform of that end
scrap of freeform willow creek, that's not a crack at the bottom
the Burro Creek I posted before- much better pic- you can see the druzy.
This is a freeform scrap of fireworks obsidian. I think thats what it's called. Anyway, there weren't many fireworks, but the red line is kinda cool on the black background.
pinolith
another repost- a nicer pic
lapis- the story behind this flat top: I bought a big polished expensive slab on ebay a long time ago. What I didn't realize was that the color was only a thin layer on the top. Not enough to dome a cab, so I cut the sides and used the spin on wheels to polish the top. Not the greatest finish, but I like it.
If you made it this far, thanks for looking!
