They FINALLY finished yesterday !! This hobby certainly teaches you patience. A few of them could be better (few pits), but I'm pretty pleased for a first attempt. They ran for: 3 weeks - 80 Grit 8 days - 220 8 days - 400 8 days - polish CO

Wow, you got a nice shine on those rocks. Way shinier than my first round.
Yeah, that patience part is so hard. I thought I had it under control, but I finally bought some rocks, and since their something so different from what I'm use to tumbling I can't seem to stop peeking in the tumblers.
Good Job!

Thanks for looking and your kind comments everyone Kim The purple ones are Amethyst Chevron (I bought those separate and put a few in to bulk up the load ) but I'm not sure what the brown ones are, they were in the mixed bag of hard rough rock I bought with my tumbler - I think they may be some sort of agate but not sure.

i'd love to find some Amethyst Chevron available, that is very cool looking. i also like the one in the 3rd pic down from top that has the red band with white top and bottom, upper left in the image. that one would make a nice pendant.
very nice job, especially good for first time! Do More! Do More! (it's addicting, ain't it?)

Wonderful first batch! I don't think this hobby teaches me patience, but it sure does TRY my patience I think those glassy ones are maybe Brazilian agates.

Well done, Rose! I think it was about my third batch before they started taking that good of a shine. MORE! SHINEY> PRETTY> MORE>!!! ;D It's that little demon that takes over after your first satisfying batch.

Hi Rose. Very nice. You accomplished in one batch what has taken some of us 4 batches to achieve. It only gets better from here.
