Been cabbing for days straight. I did some cabs that I need to sit down and wrap now. For vegasjames, I fell in love with this when I saw him post it, so I am doing a big pendant in exchange for some. I'm making 2 pendants for a box of Dallasite that bcrockhound was kind enough to do a trade for. Postage to the east coast had to hurt. I really enjoy working with it. Very stable and easy to polish. I like it a lot. This incredible pink tiffany made me nervous cutting. The expensive slab flew apart trying to precab, only this one made it. I'll freeform what was left of it. It's a good size. Unfortunately, AFTER I cabbed it, I found a tiny hairline that I will seal- for aesthetics only. (The diagonal line at the bottom is a color line.) Here's the cab that flew off the dop. I found it 2 days later. Pretty quick. A little scrap of rose bud agate. A big rhodochrosite with some eyes. Very thin, I was amazed that I managed it considering how soft it is and how thin it started out. A big purple passion freeform. The "cracks" are actually internal features. An agate called A fairfield agate, but I think that is generic for either a dryhead or teepee, right? I'm going with dryhead. I had to seal a hairline. It will go in my giveaway pile. I was really curious how the scrap would freeform. Not too bad, but I have others. A freeform of pink crinoid marble from China. I love this stuff, but it is problematic. My first Wildhorse magnesite. LOVE IT! And another for my giveaway pile- some others made it to the pile, too, but I didn't take pictures. An amazonite. Thanks for looking.

Love the first 4 and the purple passion.
Agree that the Dallasite is great to work with.

Very nice cabs, Tela! Love the first one and am extremely jealous that you got to cab some of it. Please post a pic of the wrap when you're done with it. I know it's going to be ultra-cool!

Not so sure, started with one small tumbler at Christmas and now the basement is turning into a lapidary shop . At least I won't have to worry about my back as my wallet is so light now. Al

Very nice job on all of them. I'd have to go with the first one for a fav., but that purple passion is right up there too.
