Hi All. I found this material last weekend and decided to cab some of it just to see how it turned out. I might go back for more. Jasper with metallic structure. Front: Back, showing the metallic structure: Just finished this rhodochrosite for a friend. This is the second cab from the slab, so I was kind of scratching to get a good cab and ended up putting some facets on it. Thanks for looking!

Very nice cabs! I always am attracted to stones that have metal inclusions in them. I just think they're neat looking. Love the Rhodo. I think the facets give it character.

Thanks all! I'm pretty sure the metal is manganese. There is a lot of manganese in this area and I've never found hematite there. It does look like polished hematite though. I will do a streak test if I can get a point with just the metallic portion protruding.
