I posted a cab of a pink tiffany recently. I had a big beautiful slab that just came apart when I went to precab it. Well, I had one good piece left and it was to make a really sweet freeform cab- pink, black, dendrites, pyrite, salmon opal- it had it all. So, I spent a lot of time on it reshaping it and getting it perfect. I even inspected it not only with my magnivisors but a magnifying glass, too. It was good to go. It made it all the way to the freezer and broke coming off the dop. It just wasn't meant to be. Trust me, it was beautiful. The colors aren't right on the diningroom table. It was so pretty. Well, I guess I can recab this part.

I've also broken pieces getting them off the dop. Yeah, it wasn't to be, but I do think that remaining piece looks worth salvaging!

Do that thing where you repair it with gold.... it'll be awesome.

Do that thing where you repair it with gold.... it'll be awesome. Maybe stick a slice of purple tiffany in there and do an intarsia.... hmmmm Got me thinking...

Sorry about your cab, Tela. It looked like a beauty. Love that salmon color.
I do think your idea of an intarsia with purple tiffany would be awesome. Do it!
