Hi all, just a pic of next batch to be finished (i think). They sure look good wet, don't it? These were just pulled out of #500. Here they are dry: Went with 1000AO this time instead of tripoli, and i'm thinking of using AO polish... see what happens I guess. And while i'm at it, here's the Carnelian after 4wks of #60/90: ...and White Lace after 3wks of #60/90: Jimmy

super-mega-rock box there Jimmy, the first pic, are some of those Botswanas? i see some tiger eyes peeking out too.
that Carnelian is tough old stuff, huh? i just got some rough from the Rockshed and it is gonna take forever i think to get that load to shape. ditto the white lace, i have to believe i got some of the same stuff that you have just recently.. some of the pieces i was able to get through the saw, some will be rounders.
thanks for taking the time to show us your progress!

Your rocks look very well formed and what seems to be a nice fine matte finish. It's so darn hard to tell from photo's!! LOL After they come out of the #1000 they should already have a nice shine to them.If so and you don't get impatient they'll look as good dry as they do wet. (boy i sure wish we had a spell check here)lol I can't spell for shift!! Tom

The 1000 will do the trick, those are Beautiful! don't get impatient, leave them in polish for a week no matter how shiney they are. You won't be sorry. And Burnish! I just have really high hopes for this batch, it's gonna rival James' stuff, I bet. Good luck!

Wow Jimmy, they look super wet, those are going totally awesome when they are finished. There's some really beautiful stones in there, I see some great jewelry possibilities.

Those are looking great. A fine example of what patience can accomplish. Speaking of patience, hell, I'd just put them in a glass of water and call them finished Let's see them finished. Ed

And here is what they look like after 11 days in #1000 AO: #500 - DRY#1000 - DRYI posted the #500 pic also for comparison. You can definitely see the difference. I decided to go with tin oxide for polish. About 7 more days and they should be finished. Hope they turn out nice. Jimmy
