I recently got a great deal on a flat lap from an old rockhound estate. The son has all his dad's stuff and is parting with the machines first - rocks (mostly slabbed already) come later apparently. He wouldn't open any boxes of slabs but from the names on the outside of the boxes, holy crap. Anyway, all I wanted was the flat lap but he started carrying these two boxes of old grit etc. and put it in my truck. I have no real use for it nor do I have the interest in acquiring a use for it so I want to give it away if someone wants to pay for freight. I don't feel like sorting it but there is a bunch of various old stuff including polishes like Tripoli which appears to be solid as a rock. I think there is enough material for two large flat rate boxes which are about $19 now - domestic US shipping. Each recipient on each box pays freight only. This is not an official giveaway yet... I don't even have LFRB boxes to transfer it into yet. There is also some old bearings that I'll probably do separately after I go through it. Please just reply with a "yes" if this interests you. What I'll do is collect names for a week or so and if there is enough interest I'll devise a random draw for the recipient(s).

I clarified my post above - I'm not sure if I was clear enough about the cost of shipping. The deal would be a box full of this stuff and you would pay the freight only. I only paid $50 for the flat lap - I can't absorb $38 in freight getting rid of the crap he sent with it
