The last few days my goals were to polish the back of the Montana and fix girdles. I dopped this Montana with 3m tape and it held so I was able to polish the back and the tape came off easily with no residue and the bond was still strong. I went back to 325 and redid the girdles on 3 cabs that I am going to try to sell. Since I started up, my girdles have sucked; Generally even but not a smooth enough surface. I was able to meet or exceed my old standard but I hope to better with practive and better technique. Of the 5 cabs I worked on I used the 3m tape on 4 and it held well on 2. When it loses it's bond I can tell and no cabs went flying. The new cab lost the bond multiple times. I might try sanding the back before using it. The new cab is Laguna lace and I was bale to do a good job on the girdle.

I like the Montana but the Laguna is spectacular! I'm happy with it except for the pimple on the nose. I'll take care of it next session. I liked the back better but the best attributes would grind off. The pattern on the front was shapes and I didn't like it but I could tell that the finished cab would be a mixture of what was on the back and what was on the front. Serendipity. I didn't try to center the bullseye on the back.
