Hi everyone, I'll have to see if I got the size right on the photo that is giving me fits. Bear with me ... I'll get it yet! If this is the small photo ... I'll delete it and then re-submit it so you can actually see it better. Laguna Agate - one of my all time favorites! Another Laguna Agate. This Laguna is absolutely gorgeous ... I have a close up in the next photo ... Enjoy. I hope the banding is visible enough for you to see the intricate details of this stone ... and people ask why I like the Northern Mexico Agates ... the photo's speak for themselve's. Well ... is that enough photo's? No, did I hear Cher say no? Or was that Cookie or KD Okay ... there are more photo's coming. John

I never met an agate I didn't like and those Lagunas are just WOW! They are all beautiful, but I really like the one in the second pic. I have YOU to blame for lightening my wallet. I had never even heard of Laguna agate until you posted a pic of some a while back. I went into overtime lust for some and won some in an eBay auction. I just started the smaller ones in the tumbler last week and they were really lookin' good when I recharged yesterday. Have a larger chunk I am going to cut when I get the new blade I ordered and the weather gets nice enough. So, it's YOUR fault! ;D Where do you get yours? llana

Hi everyone,
Stefan - I use a Gy-Roc Vibe Tumbler and here is my tumbling cycle:
120/220 grit for 4 or 5 days 600 grit for 4 days Tripoli for 2 or 3 days Polish for 2 or 3 days
Puppies96 gave me this tumbling cycle to try out ... and I have used it ever since. Thanks again ... Puppies!
I purchased these agates many years ago from a collector in Colorado.
I have purchased some Mexico agates from Ebersole's Lapidary a while ago and I think I got most of the better agates from them or at least what they had left. I called them last week and they said that they had no more of the better Mexico agates. Such as Laguna, Coyamito, Derramadero, Moctezuma, Luna, Apache, Casa Grande are Parcelas. I have a bunch of tumble materials ... and all of the end cuts are going into a bucket (from the pieces that I am slabbing). I have so many buckets of end cuts and trimmings ... I will never get through them all.
Enjoy,
John

Nice pics Bear - cheers for that.
Pics are so sharp that one can pick out your fingerprints!
Third Pic is my favourite from the set.
Hard polish for certain.

Overtime Lust Guess that would be a pretty good name to enter! So, I am claiming it as MINE! Now just have to wait for a Cabojohn or Cabokrazy that sends me there! Of course, the big question is can I remember the next time one goes up! llana

Okay, I'm late at replying to this, but I'm getting caught up on the board. Fantastic tumbling job on a fantastic batch of agates!... both in this thread and the others you posted around the same time.
