Got to get out yesterday with two of my sons. Pretty sure I got skunked but I need to wash some rocks first. They both found a few fairburns, here's a little baby one that was found. Thanks for looking!

Nice find. Maybe small, but great banding.
And most importantly, you got to be outdoors with your sons.

It may be small, but it sure is mighty! Lovely Fairburn.

Very nice agate and you are so lucky to have two pack mules with you in case you find the motherlode of rocks.

That one was about nickel sized. I've found some that fit on a penny, some up to a few inches long. I've seen fist-sized fairburns but haven't been lucky enough to find those yet.

Very nice that they are still willing to hang out with you and collect rocks. At that age, I was either working or chasing skirts. It took me longer to realize there is more to life.
