I got these as part of the med mixed from the rock shed, and I have no idea what they are. They came already kinda rounded. They are about a 5 on the hardness scale. They didn’t polish well, I had to dry polish them. these 2 random other ones also came in the mixed bag, and are also a 5 hardness. any help to ID these would be appreciated! Thanks everyone!

No idea what they are, but it looks you got a decent polish on them. What is you method for dry polishing?

minniek It looks like the rocks in image one located center, 02:00, 04:00, 06:00 and 08:00 all look like travertine (Cave Onyx, Mexican Onyx) to me. The two in the bottom pic look like agate. If you can scratch the stones in pic 1 with a pocket knife they are too soft to tumble well with agate. They must be done in a batch without agate in order to get a good polish.

I saw some onyx, too.
I love the one with the red dots. Very cool!

Could you send a photo to the Rock Shed? They probably know.

I filled the vibe tumbler mostly full of crushed walnut shells, added 1 tablespoon polish per pound, turned it on and added the rocks! Ran for 48 hours, then pulled them out, and Ta-Da!! Polished!

They were all soft enough for the pocket knife! They ran together with some amazonite (also from the rock shed). Does agate come that Soft?

True Agate should be a hardness of 6.5+ to 7. I would put your stones as too soft to be tumbled with amazonite (at least in the final stages and polish). Travertine, petoskey stone, lithographic LS and dolomites should be tumbled together. These all have a CaCO3 chemical content and require special tumbling due to softness.
