Got to get out for a few hours yesterday with my son- 50 degrees, overcast and a bit windy but had a great time. I think hounding is still my favorite part of this hobby. A scenery pic and a unique fairburn that I came across. The other side of the stone has the same red designs on the outside so I'm trying to decide what to do with this one. Tumble or slab- it's not great as just a specimen but I think I can make it into something special... Thanks for looking!

Slab it! Those drusies outlined in that dark red are going to be amazing in a cab. Great job on the photography, too.

Ok I had a chance to get in the garage for a bit and slab this one so I thought I'd post a few pics. It wanted to chip off when I tried to cut them thin so they're a bit thick. Started on my favorite one and it still has a ways to go but I'm going to post where it is so far anyway. Thanks for looking!

Cool looking little fortifications in that one! Nice job. Thank you! It's still about twice as thick as it's going to be and the shape isn't quite how I want it yet, but it's getting there. I lucked out with this one with no fractures or pitting while I'm grinding. Plus, the patterns seem to go pretty deep. I think it's going to take a great shine!
