A couple- Don't like that amethyst lace or chevron amethyst or whatever you call it. Troublesome and not worth the trouble IMHO. All that work to get rid of pits and stuff and it still has a few issues. Is it always like that? Nice little piece of rhodo from stardiamond Thank you. I LOVE rhodochrosite. So fun to cab! A big, unusual thulite. I think this is the last of the slab. Finished nicely. Love the crystals of thulite or whatever that pattern is. amethyst stuff more peanut obsidian. It might be the last I have for now. Little freeform bell. large tiffany. This was a pleasure to work. No issues at all. Very solid- thankfully. a little chartreuse opal from julieooly Thank you, Julie! Love the color! Hampton Butte green wood. Cool stuff. Another of vegasjames ' white brecciated pastelite jasper agate

The tiffany is absolutely my hands-down favorite of this batch. Beautiful shades, patterns and design! Thanks, Mike. It's my fav, too. I had a slab that just came apart. It had a mind of it's own. So, I just freeformed what was left. All big pieces. I didn't dare try to cut it again. LOL!

Another beautiful set. I don't mind working on rhodo. I went through my boxes and found 3 chevron amethyst cabs all solid. I throw very little material away. I gave up on the piece I sent you. Feel free to toss anything you don't want to bother with. Another person might see something I don't.
Speaking of soft material, I have a bunch of Indian paint stone. Years ago I tried cabbing it and ended up with a potato chip cab.

Years ago I tried cabbing it and ended up with a potato chip cab. I don't think that amethyst came from you. I had a real thick slab for a long time. I finally got around to cutting it. I'm thinking I probably paid too much because it had a lot of issues. It started out a high dome cab and I had to keep whittling it down. Ugh. I just love the way rhodo polishes. I get such a kick seeing it after the 100k wheel. So pretty. Yeah, Indian Paint stone is a challenge. The first stuff I ever had was real thin. I didn't know any better when I bought it. I managed, though- and learned a lot.

The Tiffany and the Rhodo are both awesome. Like the shape of the Thulite cab a lot.

The Tiffany and the Rhodo are both awesome. Like the shape of the Thulite cab a lot. Thanks- I can do inside curves, no prob, just don't like to. It slows me down. Or, at least it feels that way. It breaks me rhythm.
