I'd love to see some pictures of the stone inlayed into wood. I'm a full time intarsia woodworker so the idea really facinates me. So far I haven't done much of anything useing stones in my woodworking, just turning over possible ideas of using them for a little accent. I was thrilled to find out that black onyx beads work excellent for eyes on my smaller projects (a step way up from the plastic taxidermy eyes I use to use). Heehee, I don't think that would justify deducting my tumbling expenses. Of course if I have a slab or trim saw, it would help. But I can go there yet. I have a few other pieces of big equiptment that are limping along ready to be replaced any day. The day I order a rock saw is the day the planer finally dies.

lotarocks, I bought a table for $5.00 last fall at the City Wide garage sale. The minute I saw it, I though "that would be a great table to do a rock mosaic on!" Haven't done anything with it yet but as soon as the weather gets nice I will be outside sanding and refinishing it and going thru my bucket of rocks and cutting slabs for it. It's really an ugly table, but I plan to turn it into a thing a beauty! Take some pics of the things you do with you wood and rocks. I know everybody would love to see them. At least, I would. You may have an idea I want to steal! joanna, do you have a website with some of your stuff? I would love to see it. I love working with wood and have several ideas of combining wood and rocks. Haven't gotten any of them done yet, except some walking sticks, but when summer comes I hope to get cracking on some other stuff. Since I don't have a work shop, I am at the mercy of the weather! llana

I see what your doing with them now! cool. Really hope you post pictures of the roosters too. I seem to lean towards collecting hens (some real ones too), but noticed some roosters are makeing their way into my collection. I never worked with Juniper, but have seen some some beautiful things done with it. I believe it has a lot of light/dark contrast in it, right? llana, no web site yet. I am slowly being forced into the tech world, (kicking and screaming) I was prouder than heck last week when I finally took the time to send out pictures of my latest things through the email. Finally figured out the sizing issue. Every year I tell myself I'll set up a web page in the winter (Yikes, it's winter again).
