Shhhhh! that's not something we talk about. Did you search for Rock Who Must Not Be Named? Just kidding with you - I will poke around and see what I can come up with 1dave.

Just for clarification 1dave I think you meant you were searching Google, right? I think it's probably because it's such a massively used word in lapidary circles like no other stone really. Many many lapidaries focus on that stone and almost nothing else. Most of us here myself included just kind of dabble in it - and it's not a stone commonly associated with tumbling. My search for "turquoise" resulted in 3.55 BILLION hits...not surprisingly we were nowhere to be found (I looked back through ten pages then stopped). My search for "turquoise tumbling" resulted in 7 million hits and we were fourth in the list. I'm pretty happy with that

I'm using the search box at the top of RTH. I used my "Tools" to delete all search engines except Google and still: It must be something on my computer.

If you used the search box here on RTH, all of your results should be exclusive to RTH. The search line should show "site:forum.rocktumblinghobby.com" I agree it sounds like you computer is playing games with you - maybe you have Bing set as your "default" search engine if that's even possible. I don't know because I try to never Microsoft Exploiter - I prefer to be exploited by Google Chrome

I can't initiate a google search for anything. This makes no difference. I'll have to call my computer guru.

A malware search turned up 6 "PU's" (Probably Unwanted's) and the problem went away.
