I'm looking for an ultrasonic cleaner to try to help get the dirt out of crustal drusy areas on slabs & geodes etc.

The one I've picked is on Amazon for 39.99

Would love opinions or other recommendations, not too pricey please. Also, is there a recipe for home-made cleaner or do I have to buy something.

I don't think those little ultrasonics are going to be strong enough to do much of anything for you. I would soak the pieces in some laundry detergent (gets the dirt out - Dawn for grease) and then give them a good scrubbing with a stiff brush like Tela said. If you can find toothbrushes made for dentures, those are excellent because they are very stiff and can get in the little nooks and crannies.
