I love lilacs, but mine never are as nice as yours. Love bumblebees, too! You can keep the spar-grass and those tent worms, though

Nice trees and great pics. I have trouble with deer in the fall with bucks rubbing off the bark and in the winter the deer eating the ends that usually get flowers. I don't mind too much as I usually eat one of them myself and am happy the others can stay healthy. Still, it would be nice to have a few honey crisp to enjoy.

They have been exploding with blooms the past two years. My Mom always told me to pick about 20% of the blossoms to encourage more the next year. The tent worms are abundant here. Glad I found a natural method to destroy those nasty nests.

Deer lately have been avoiding my yard, they stay in the woods. I have another Honey Crisp near the lilacs. A granny smith near the pasture, and a couple of unknown, red apple trees next to that one. Last year, I harvested about 6 bushels of apples. I never spray them with anything (other than the tent worm stuff). Any apples not harvested by me, go to neighbors as deer apples. They must have taken another 6-8 bushels. All the wind falls and one uses an apple picker to get the ones off the top of the trees. He does what his Grandma told him was a must. At least one apple must be left on every tree. This will ensure a good crop the following year.

Love the lilacs and the dandelions. Slowly walking through the dandelions was very peaceful. Most of the bees did not mind. Their buzzing was so soothing.

Very nice! I don't think we're going to have a spring here in N.CA I think we're going to go straight into summer.
