Finally got a few more out of the polish. Most of these are pretty small but that seems to be the norm. There's a few that will work good for pendants and whatnot. Just doesn't seem to matter what they are, getting a batch out of polish never gets old. I guess that's what it's all about. This is my first attempt at amethyst. I got this batch from a friend in trade for polishing some others for her. Here's a few pieces from KD ... was this Sunset Jasper or Zebra Jasper? CRS strikes again .... This stuff is so cool!! Here's more of my green rock ... wish I knew what it is, it sure polishes nice. Need to go back to Lake Superior and find more of this stuff. Here's a couple of nice pieces of jasper, love the banding in it. And last but not least, a few small Lake Superior Agates I tossed in. The tiny ones are for a project I'm working on, if I ever get enough of them. Thanks for looking, Cher

Those are amazing - I loooooooooooove the amethysts (I'm a purple freak) and the agates are wonderful I think I'm in love with all of them. I always love to see the really amazing results everyone gets on the final product (mind you, some folks have better stuff that comes out of coarse than my final product - but that's okay - that will hopefully change at some point) But that's a fantastic job on your batch!

Iron Ranger-
Congrats on the amethyst. I think the purple is very stunning when it's dark like yours.
My batch was a very light purple and definately not as striking.
Good job!

Great batch- I asked you about the lake superior stuff on another post and there it is! Cool batch of rocks- Do you ever sell the Lake SUperior stuff- (either the green rock or the agates) I see some offered (agates) for $4.00 a lb. It looks nice but I'm a bit leary.

I haven't sold any of my Lake Superior Agates, most of what I have was a gift from my son so those are special. As far as other Lake Superior rocks, I do have some but I have no idea what they are. Don't know if there's any green rock in the bucket or not.

Cher, you just don't give yourself enough credit. Are you a perfectionist, by chance You really can put a great shine on. The little pieces make great charm bracelets, by the way. I tend to do the opposite and get them too big to do anything with. I have some of your "green rocks" (has anybody figured out what they are?) in this big ole 15# batch I'm doing now and they are going to be sooo pretty! And the lakers, hoo boy, they get prettier all the time. Great job! cookie

I don't really know Kim. Generally when I'm playing with the dremel, it's just to "fix" some of the spots that don't seem to want to smooth out. It's usually after I've been messing around for awhile that something comes to me and it just starts to take shape. I've never taken a rock that is just raw and tried, it's always with rocks that have been in the coarse grit for a week or so. Cher

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments on this latest batch. It means a lot to have someone else who really appreciates everything that goes into the process and who understands the patience needed to bring out the beauty of the stones.
