Had to share this.
Avery here. Guess what? I am 9 days old. Finally got to meet my third Grandma. Dunno what took her so long.
I was a little fussy when she arrived. Ok, a lot fussy. Momma calmed me down some. Momma was fussy, too.
I was then placed in this Grandma’s arms. She rocked me. Rubbed my arm and forehead until I fell asleep.
While I was sleeping, Momma and Daddy were able to shower, eat lunch and do all sorts of stuff.
I am still trying to figure out why Simon, a small, soft person, with 4 of what are called legs, was not on the arm of the chair like he always is when Momma and Daddy are rocking me there. Simon likes this Grandma. Maybe he was just letting us get to know each other.
Grandma had to go after a long time. I woke up when Momma took me. Momma was no longer fussy. I had a great nap of about 1.5 hours. Ya see, I had been awake since 6:30 AM . A whole 4.5 hours, which is the longest I have been awake since being born.
Most of it was spent eating and crying.
I love being in this place. There are things hanging from my cradle in what is called a living room. When I hit them with my hand, they play music. There are also some very soft, smaller people here. They sometimes sleep next to me when a 2 legged person is holding me and make a noise, I have learned is called purring. They do not talk the same as the larger people here. But, I know they like me and I like them.
I also like that thing called a car seat. I am still figuring out how to this thing that is called burping. All I know is when I do not do it, I hurt and cry.
Grandma brought me what is called a Jersey. It is green and gold. Has a number 12 on it. Says Packers. Guess I will learn what that is all about some day.
I have learned so much and want to learn more.
Heard Momma tell Grandma to come over again real soon to hold me and put me to sleep. Maybe I won’t be so fussy next time.
