WTG, what a great job and a terrific Valentines gift. Did you take any pics while you were doing it so we could see?

Wow, what a great idea. The rooster is inlaid into the wood right?
Now I know how to inlay woods and all, but what did you use to shape the stone? a diamond carving point? a grinder, that sure would take a long time, which I'm sure it did.
Is there such a thing as a scroll saw blade that cuts rock? (I imagine the blade would have to be super thin and be $diamond$ coated and I'd be breaking them left and right). Maybe the metal cutting blades, but those don't cut very thick pieces of metal...maybe on softer stones... excuse me, just thinking out loud. You have my head swimming with ideas, that may or may not amount to anything.
The project really turned out great!

In theory you should be able to get a scroll saw blade that is diamond impregnated. I know I saw one (no pun intended) somewhere But how would you keep it cool?

Probably use the same method as when cutting metal? There's a certain oil used. But even on high I wonder if the blade could run fast enough. I remember reading somewhere here that diamond bits, blades, etc need to run at a high speed.
