Bear in mind this is a work in progress- The jig measures 5" by 7" and is a 2x4 srewed to a piece of underlayment the clamp is a Jorgenson wood clamp. It works great on larger (longer) rocks but is a bit hairy on smaller or odd shaped rocks- Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. The rock is a chunk of bubblegum agate- about 1.5" high by 2" long

Great idea! My buddy just bought one of those saws and I'm sending him the link to see this. He just left complaining about not having a good clamp for rocks, and needing to do something about it Thanks for the detailed pics! Jeff

Hey Stefan, Jorgensen Clamps are available in a whole range of sizes. You might want to use a smaller size.

LMOA-- I picked that one up from my local ACE- They only had that one- I was going to order a smaller one from them but they did not even realize they carried that one (it is a Number 1- the largest they make) They told me that the smaller ones are on backorder for the time being So I guess I'll be going on line to get one!
