I recently got my slab saw going and wanted something to slice so I grabbed a geode I thought was solid and sliced it in two. To my surprise there was a cavity and in the cavity there was a crystal of some kind growing in the normal matrix of crystals. Can anyone identify the grey/silver crystal? Closeup - a little fuzzy It has a definite shape The size of the cavity is about 1 1/2 inches by 3/4 of an inch. The crystal appears about 1/4 inch.

If nothing else..take it to a gemologist..I am sure they can tell you..but it will cost ya. It's hard to tell from the photos.

i do believe you have found an embryonic electrical! do NOT put that by your bedside!
wrap it firmly in tinfoil and call Homeland Security!

Awww can't you see it? It's a little fossilized tree frog that got caught in the middle of the geode. Look, he's right here. Cher

You might have found a morphing electrical! I knew they had to go somewhere. That is a frightening thought and it is in your home. Make sure you do not touch it! It might implant nano electricals in your bloodsteam and hyper activate the chips dentists put in teeth. It is those daggoned things that make us barf when we have too much whiskey and drink beer to cut the acid stomache. The electricals invade the central nervous system and THEY control our thoughts. The top electrical lives off our nervous system and the neural discharge. Be wary.
