Mostly just misc. stuff in this batch but a few of the agates turned out nice. 1 This is a Lake Superior agate. I think toiv0 told me what variety it was but I can't remember now. 2 3 4 5 6 7 This is the first finished piece of Arizona rainbow pet wood from 3 pounds I got from beefjello back in February. Tough material. 8 Thanks for looking Chuck

ALWAYS love your tumbles. #6 is similar to an unknown type of Jasper I posted awhile back that no one knew the name of.

Great stuff all the way around. I feel your pain with the pet wood. We've got tons of the stuff here that we picked up at Dobell's, but it's a tough tumble as you know. Well done on that piece.

Thanks A few years back they used rainbow pet wood for the world rock tumbling contest. Miserable tumble but I prefer the contest rocks to be difficult. At this point I will be happy if a get a few flawless pieces out of this three pound purchase. Chuck

#3 looks delicious. It really looks like something that would taste good.
#5 is really unique. That white is such a nice contrast to the translucent banded agate.

Chuck Agreed. I have a few very similar pieces that I found locally. Was initially thinking jasper based on colors and where I found them, but doesn't seem to be as hard as most jasper and the polish texture is different (on mine at least) so also leaning toward wonderstone. At any rate, that one is beautiful; has a first-rate finish.

Just curious, what grit and equipment and polish did you use? What recipe do you use? That is some of the best looking tumble shine I have seen.
