christopherl1234, Lovely stone. Did you know the late Larry Gray? At one time he owned One Track Mines and he sparked my interest in fire agates. I got to know him at Tucson and some of the other shows and was saddened when he passed away at such a young age. Deer Creek material is my favorite FA to cut though I love good material from any source. My present equipment isn't set up for cutting it. I'd like to get back into it one of these days. Until then your great images will have to satisfy my interest.

Thanks for this fire agate post and your prior ones. I think that your cutting style really shows them off. I have a couple of rough pieces that have been sitting for several years. I'm going to take a careful look at them to see if I can manage cut them in a similar manner.
[Edit] Dang! Checked my fire agates and they're already cabbed with low domes. It had been so long since I last looked at them that I forgot they were already finished.

Was showing my son A.J. (10 years old and very into rocks) all the pics you have posted and he asked me "are those real?" At first I told him "nah, that Christopher guy is up to something" To be honest, I wondered the same thing when I first saw your work. They real are amazing. Al
