Hi All! Hope you like... My mixed bag...Bottom right green rocks...I don't know what type they are, but definitely look like a conglomerate. Some parts took a better shine than others. Nice peice of banded agate in there as well. Closeup. That's mook in the upper right. Interesting note: I don't by slabs any more...They are very difficult to polish well since the flat slides don't get as much contact with other rocks. The mook took 2 runs through the entire cycle to get a reasonable shine. I've got a bunch of rough mook in the tumblers now...should get a better finish. There's also some golden moss agate. I think that's a "Agate Lake" agate in the middle (separate posting on that coming soon. To the left is some purple stone that I'm not sure of. Here is another batch. Bottom right is wonderstone. Middle right is picturestone. The black stuff on the left is opalized agate. The rest I'm not sure of. Last shot. Here is the rest of the opalized agate. I learned a lot with this stuff. I think I left it in coarse stage for 4 weeks and it still looked crappy. I threw about 75% of the rock out. There definitely is such a thing as poor grade rock.

There is some rhodonite (I think) in the batch which is pink. Rhodonite, wonderstone and picturestone do not take a shine. Their finish is matte, but it is even, so it still looks really nice.
The red one in the top corner...cannot remember for the life of me. I knew when I bought it, but that was almost a year ago. Argh.
Most of the stuff did tumble together. I had a bucket called "soft stones". I guess at the hardness of unknown rocks by scraping them, and I put softer ones together in a batch.
The opalized agate rolled on its own.

Very pretty. What a great shine! The opalised agates that made it ti polish are really beautiful. And I love mook, I was yearning for some (never tumbled it before) and put in a low bid on Ebay on some, thinking I wouldn't win the bid. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6511914269&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:ITBut now I have some mook! I like the way yours turned out. Hope I can get the same results. cookie

Hey Skipper. Lookin' good. Don't ya hate it when you look at the rocks finally polished, and say "I don't remember that one, or those."? I usually shrug my shoulders and chalk it up to that short-term memory loss thing. Ed
