Which polish did you use? I've had outstanding results using tin oxide for obsidian. AO just didn't give the same shine - for me.

Great looking glass!
I got no shine on obsidian using tin oxide. Still need to re-run in something else...

Very nice plate of Obsidian. I haven't seen many of these, and didn't know that there could be so many flakes in the rock. Or that there could be other colors in the mix too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks you one and all! I need to invest in a better Camera to show my Handywork. Ole Rockindad has it going on with his makes mine look like Novice Work. Thanks, but I think you are doing just fine . I hear you about the pictures though. I dislike my digital camera so much that I have resorted to using my work iPad. By the time they are taken with the iPad, put on the computer and then get posted here there is such a drop in quality it is embarrassing. I look at the rocks sitting next to me and then at the pictures in the posts and cannot believe the difference. Just one more thing to work on. Al

Really nice results. The shine is wonderful, showing off the beauty of those rocks. Probably have to change the name of the stone because "snowflake" is now considered a politically incorrect word. ;-)
