Hi everybody , It has been a long time coming , but here it is at last . for the nw ones since my last talk about petwood....my son found a great piece of perwood on our farm and I have been patiently waiting till my birthday for my new machinery before I tackled working this rock. here is the machine I got 100 grit 220 grit 400 grit 600 grit polish but I was not happy yet with the result . went back to 600 grit, first by hand on another rock and followed by the 600 grit sandpaper on the machine then polished for a second time. this foto was taken at night time . The piece in front is thicker and is for my son. I must have gotten tired in my fingers and dropped it on the concrete floor hence a piece chipped off Growl growl. I still think it should have taken a better shine though. Thanks for looking Jack

WoW neat machine! Bet you'll have some fun with that. The pet wood looks really nice. It looks like it took a good shine, but pics can be deceiving so I'm sure you know best on that part. Sorry your son's piece broke, do you have more to make a new one? Great job Jack, can't wait to see more of your stuff now that you've got that cool grinder/polish.

Hello Jack,
There is nothing wrong with that at all!!!
Some material just doesn't take the polish we wish they would take ... but, I do not see anything wrong with that piece at all!
Gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing,
John

Hey Jack- Just for the nuts of it, try Tin Oxide on your leather pad. I have had wonderful results on some of the most unlikely material. Being new, I had the smooth side of the leather out. After turning it around so the rough side was out, BOY did that make a difference.
