Was given these potential display pieces this AM. Photos show what is there. The rack and pail have some rust. I am thinking that they need to be cleaned, remove rust and repaint. The board with wire mesh just needs to be cleaned. Maybe apply a finish to the wood areas. So, I have several colors of spray paint. Matte Black, Cream, Light Tan and Light Sage. What color would you paint them? I love the pail, as it could be used to carry items in to shows and then used for displaying some pieces. Recent changes to my lifting restrictions are preventing me from using some of my heavier display pieces, so these are perfect. Very light weight. Just want them to look nice.

I'd go with black. It tends to disappear as a background better than other colors/shades.

I would take a wire brush to it and spray some matte clear on the screen and then just do a warm stain on the wood.

Black is good. I made deer cages to protect rose bushes and chose black. It's least intrusive.

The wire basket is so neat. I have one like it and it looks good with larger rocks in it. Nice addition’s for free😊

Thinking I will just clean up the wire basket and clear coat it. Use it to transport some pieces. Then turn upside down and hang earrings/pendants from it. Maybe put something on top.

I cleaned up the blue piece. Sanded to remove rust. Sprayed a Rustoleum primer on it. Now waiting until pay day to get some black paint. The pieces with the wire mesh were given a good scrub with Murphy's. All the screws sticking out removed. The mesh cleaned. It has been so humid here, that the wood is still not totally dry. Once it dries, might stain it. Or, since it is a nice honey pine color, might just apply some furniture oil. Then apply brass hinges.
