Looks like a lot of work.
I rarely see pet wood with exposed limbs/twigs, so this is a treat.

That's very cool! You must have the patience of a saint. I don't know about the saint part but At one time I carved an elephant out of ebony and a chain out of Brazilian hardwood. this is going pretty fast by comparison!

I have been using a vibro engraving tool and some work with dental tools. fairly slow, but what I am removing is mostly what I believe is ash and is not agatized. Some of the other pieces of it that I have are too solid for this method.

Have you tried muratic acid, works well on that Saddle Mountain stuff?
