Found these today in Amherst, WI by some dumpsters. There are a lot more similar ones still there. Would appreciate what you might call them. All with size reference: All: I think the yellowish one is banded chert. My 2 favs: The smaller one has some oolites and a large, smoothed crystal area. Close ups of the larger fav: I love the various patterns and druzy pockets in this one.

This is an old thread, but the two that are your favorites have some oolitic agate in them. Look closely and you should be able to see the small, circular oolitic formations and you might find some very fine banding as well. They should polish up nicely, except you will probably find some "soft," sandy spots in the white parts that do not polish well.
