It's tough to tell a story with bad pictures. I quit after 10 attempts taking a picture. I had a nice thick piece of Morrisonite with some knife edges and fractures. My plan was to trim it and the slice it into two slabs. After trimming I saw that it wasn't thick enough and got one thick slab and remnant that I will work on for 5 minutes and probably toss. I moved on to a similar piece of Morgan Hill. I trimmed the knife edges and fractures. I went on a poppy hunt and found a scene with a small cluster of poppies (which I can't get a decent picture of). If I ground down the thick slab the poppies would be gone so I split it into two 3/16 slabs and left the other piece at 3/8. I've got something to start with now.
