Here's some better pics of the patterns on the Tee Pees that I cleaned up. NRG I wish I had a method to share for what I did with the muriatic. It was the first time trying it and I didn't even measure anything or time it. I think I made the mixture fairly strong and I'm pretty sure it only took about an hour. Next time I'll be a little more precise and keep better track of what I did. As always, thanks for looking.

What was the muriatic for? I wouldn't expect it it affect an agate at all. Nice result!

Fantastic patterns and color. What is the size range? Not quite sure what you mean- the size of the patterns or the size of the stones?

greig - I posted this in another thread, but some of the stones were covered in calcite. Oxalic didn't touch it and vinegar worked somewhat- the muriatic knocked it out of the park, however. Here's a sample of what they looked like before and after-

Miket, what size stone(cab) will the rough yield in free form or regular cab shapes. I'm guessing anywhere from 1/4" to 2" cabs. Depending on the skill of the cabber, of course! 😁
