Now that is really cool! Are the agates on the beach or up above? Do you find more near the front or the rear of the elephant? ;D

So if a coprolite is fossilized Dinosaur Dung, is an agate fossilized Elephant Dung? LOL,
Great shot, and I want pictures too.

That would definitely be a cool place to go visit not only for the rock but also the water. Tami

What like dont know where to start or what to do so will just ramble away for a wee bit, forgive the spelling. Elephant rock is south of montrose 3-5 miles the old building to left & up from the trunk is the old lime works at the boddin you find agates all along the coast from montrose to buddon and further along, but find it harder to spot them but can find them at usan to elp rock .http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/billyd40/agateserbike003.bmp img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/billyd40/agateserbike002.bmpGet agates from the beach when the tide is out get alot from further out, this year further away from the elephant on the beach but last year it was nearer the elephant, there is feilds on the way to rocks that have ace agates if you get there when they are turning the soil. the water is bloody baltic and in the shallow water just cold .billyd

Aye sorry but you canny have them all its nice to share now and again ,only pulling your leg this is where i am img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/billyd40/scotland.bmpimg.photobucket.com/albums/v237/billyd40/angus.bmpi stay in montrose and go looking for stones from ferryden to past the old village usan ( dad born there ) spent a lot of my life on the rocks ,fishing, swimming, picking buckies (welks),and anything else you can think of to eat for nothing(seagulls eggs, bit slippy at times) told not to bother with stones as you canny eat them, so just looked at them and the people who came to find them .Now i know how they were so happy even when weather rotten (quite a lot on the east coast) but sometimes manage to get t shirt off providing nobody about to laugh at my impersonation of a beached white whale very pale white look.rambling on now so billyd
