I've been so busy uploading stuff to my new Etsy store I haven't had much time for cabbing new things. My shop was cool enough yesterday and today to allow me some cutting time so I took advantage of it. I managed to cut several varied materials including a couple of nice Noreena jaspers that met an ill fate. One broke while shaping due to an unseen internal fracture; the other I finished to the best polish I've gotten on this material then I dropped it on a concrete floor. Rest in peace little cab. I'm having fun with Sonora Dendritic Rhyolite from Mexico. I really like its patterns and scenes even though it only takes a satin polish. These cabs were cut from the first 2 slabs off my saw. Sonora Dendritic  Sonora Side View  Dendritic Pear  Sunset Without Sonora (or something like that)  Rose Quartz - Nearly Clean With Only One Feather Inclusion  Imperial Jasper - Not Much "Scenery" But a Killer Polish  Hoot Owl - Just For Fun  Thanks for looking! |

Nice cabs all around. We have a tile floor in the kitchen which has eaten many nice pieces. Or at least forced a re-cut.

Nice cabs all around. We have a tile floor in the kitchen which has eaten many nice pieces. Or at least forced a re-cut. Yeah, I've done a lot of recuts for the same reason. These were beyond repair because the remaining patterns were meh. I' going to put something softer on the concrete under my cutting bench to prevent future problems. I think one of those plastic sheets they use under office chairs might work. |

Really like both of the Sonora Dendritic. I took Tela's advice and looked at your shop- lots of beauties there (love the Malachite on page 2), great work!
